Nurses must have:
• a current tuberculin skin test,
• chest x-ray (if positive tuberculin)
and proof of up-to-date immunizations for:
• diphtheria-tetanus
• mumps
• rubella
• rubeola
• hepatitis B or proof of prior disease
• polio
A test to determine your titer result (blood drawn where they test to see if you have antibodies at a certain level to determine immunity). A titer should show immunity whether you acquired it through vaccination or through exposure to the disease.
